Delivery Information


Every piece of furniture that the Painted Furniture Company sell is designed, crafted and finished with great care. We think that it should also be delivered with the same great care, that’s why we don’t use standard shippers, couriers or parcel services. With few exceptions we will use our own team and vans to deliver your furniture, where that isn't possible we will use one of two specialist removal firms who we have worked with for a number of years. That way we can be sure that your painted furniture will be delivered by a strong team who are used to moving and handling special pieces.

For your convenience we offer two delivery services;

Standard Delivery Service - £40

  • Standard delivery covers a ground floor first room delivery of your boxed or wrapped items
  • You will receive a pre-booked delivery day with an am or pm delivery slot
  • It may be possible to arrange a 2 hour window (but we can’t guarantee this)

Due to the way standard deliveries are scheduled our drivers will not be able to unpack any items, move any pieces upstairs or assemble items that require assembly (among other things this may include bed frames, wardrobes and dining tables). If you need us to position and assemble your furniture then please consider the great value premier delivery service.

Premier Delivery Service - £65/£75

Whilst it is always exciting, recieving and dealing with a full set of heavy or cumbersome bedroom or living room furniture it can be quite daunting. Our premier delivery service is designed to take any stress out of your day, our trained delivery team will do all of the hard work for you and leave you with a finished room. Of course it costs a little extra but we think the service is great value and most of our customers opt for the premier service.

The Premier Delivery Service consists of the following:

A Pre booked timed delivery slot which will be confirmed by your installer the day before.

Installation to room of your choice.

Assembly of furniture where required.

Fitting of handles or knobs and removing transport feet and packaging.

Our wardrobes come fully assembled so will need to be disassembled and re assembled for ease of access to the room of your choice. Although a relatively simple task this is time consuming and therefore will take longer. To reflect this, we charge a flat fee of £75 for deliveries which include wardrobe assembly.

Please note that for our Full Hanging Wardorbes without drawers at the base, our team will need to assemble these laying down and then stand them up into position. This means that they will need about 15-20cm extra ceiling height beyond the standard height of the wardorbes to place them where required.

Just a note from our team:

“Health and Safety regulations mean we have to wear safety shoes and don’t want to disrespect your home, so we recommend popping down some protective covers if you need to protect your floors”.

Delivery into Scotland may be possible depending upon your particular order, your location, and the timings, we do want to help so please contact us for further details.


UK & Scottish Islands

While we are unable to offer delivery to customers in UK or Scottish islands (including Isle of Wight) ourselves, we would be able to deliver to a nominated courier of your choosing, and make sure the funriture is safely wrapped for its onward journey! Please contact us for further details.
