Some pieces naturally become the place where everything gathers. Books, favourite finds, family photographs, the odd object that simply makes you smile. The Millbrook Tall Storage Bookcase is designed to give those things a proper home.

The upper section provides three adjustable shelves, giving you plenty of freedom to arrange the space exactly how you like it. Tall vases, stacks of books or decorative pieces can be easily repositioned as your collection grows or changes.

The shelving itself can be tailored to suit the look you prefer. Choose painted shelves for a classic finish, oak shelves for warmth and contrast, or glass shelves if you would like the display area to feel lighter and more open.

Behind the shelving sits a tongue and groove back panel, another lovely detail that adds character to the piece. The back panel can be finished painted to match the cabinet or in oak, giving you the option of either a soft seamless look or a richer timber backdrop for your display.

If you would like to turn the bookcase into more of a display cabinet, an optional LED lighting pack can be added. The lighting can be adjusted between warmer and cooler tones, allowing you to create a gentle evening glow or a brighter display light depending on what you are showcasing.

Below the shelving sits a practical cupboard section with two panelled doors and a single adjustable internal shelf. It provides generous hidden storage for items that are useful but perhaps not quite display-worthy. Inside the cupboard the timber is left naturally unpainted, allowing the grain to be seen and celebrating the craftsmanship of the piece.

The overall design carries the relaxed character of the Millbrook style, with simple panelled doors, balanced proportions and a solid oak top that adds warmth and structure. The top can be finished in various oak finishes, or you can choose a fully painted version including the top if you prefer a softer look.

With two widths, two heights and three depth options, the bookcase can work comfortably in living rooms, dining rooms, hallways or home offices. And because each piece is built to order in our Wiltshire workshop, it can also be bespoke adjusted if your space calls for something slightly different.
