All our wardrobes are fully built at our factory and to remove the risk of any damage in transport they will always be delivered to you fully assembled save for the removable Cornice and Plinth. However, we also appreciate that a large item such as a wardrobe may present access problems on some staircases and narrow passageways.
Don't worry! Our wardrobes are cleverly designed using special cam locks so that if you need to, you can take them apart in just a few minutes using nothing more than a screwdriver. Any of our wardrobes will then easily go up virtually any staircase and can be rebuilt just as easily. As you probably know by now, all of our furniture is extremely well made, and once your wardrobe is rebuilt you will never know it has been apart.
If you opt for our standard delivery service the delivery team will leave your wardrobe downstairs in a safe place for you to disassemble in your own time, please make sure you have a suitable space for them!
If you would like us to disassemble and rebuild your wardrobe in your room of choice, upstairs or downstairs, please make sure you opt for our premier delivery service and click the wardrobe build option.
Disassembling the wardrobes is very straight forward but we do suggest you take a look at the Break Down Instructions (for the Oxford, Island Breeze, Amberley, Modula & Portland Wardrobes), BEFORE you start.
If you choose a wardrobe with drawers, the drawers base and the top hanging locker are separate pieces. Simply lift the top onto the base when your wardrobe is in place, again, if you need to you can easily disassemble the hanging part.
As always, if you have any questions, just give us a call.
